About the Gorkhas' Official Issue- 10” Service No 1-This is one of the bestselling models. The Service No.1 is called Standard Sized Kukris. Among all the Kukris; it is the most famous all over the world as its close association with the British soldiers. It is issued to all British soldiers on enlistment and they retain it throughout their army career. The blade is made of hi-graded Carbon steel. The blade is about 10 long while the Buffalo horn gripper handle is 5" long. The sheath is made of buffalo hide. It weighs about 700 grams. Including packing 1.3 kg. The Kukri Specifications: Two Small Accessory Knives: The Karda; which has a sharp edge is used of skinning animal hairs & other one called Chakmak which has blunt edge is used for sharpening blade.
